Hello and welcome to all our families at St Stephen’s!
We would like to tell you more about the vision and activities of our PTA (Parent Teacher Association).
Why we have a PTA
We are an enthusiastic and approachable group of parents who meet on a regular basis to organise activities for our pupils and their families, to raise money for equipment and resources that will enhance our children’s educational experience and the school’s facilities. Most recently our fundraising has been to develop the school library.
We exist to provide closer links between home and school, through social events where children, parents and staff can come together making a community. We align ourselves with the ethos and vision of the school and try very hard to respect this while planning our events. In 2019/20 we will be raising funds to purchase an outdoor pizza oven and a compost bin. These resources will complement the school’s intention to become more sustainable in conjunction with their ‘Oxfam Global Sustainable Goals’ curriculum.
Get in Touch & Get Involved
We cannot run our popular fayres and other events without assistance from our parent community. PTA Officers are always interested to hear your thoughts. You can catch us in the playground or drop us a message at our Facebook page ‘St Stephens Junior School PTA’. Please feel free to use Classlist to ask any questions about upcoming events or to volunteer.
