Kitchen Crew
Our Kitchen and Checking Crews are a very important team in the school that help to make our lunchtimes run smoothly. They are volunteers who follow our value of humility by working as a team and give up their own time to help others, showing that they are selfless.
The Checking Crew
The Checking Crew are responsible for checking in everyone who is having a school lunch. They remind the children which meal the have chosen and tick them off. They use the walkie talkies to ask the lunchtime supervisors to send in year groups for their lunch and to let them know who has not come in yet. They then report back to the office.
The Kitchen Crew
The Kitchen Crew are really busy people. They have lots of responsibilities which are as follows:
- Helping to serve the food at the hatch;
- Serving up our scrummy desserts;
- Making sure there is plenty of water to drink and checking there are yoghurts, fruit and raisins;
- Helping the children scrape their plates and taking them to the kitchen to be washed;
- Cleaning the tables, stacking chairs and sweeping the floor.
Both the Checking and Kitchen Crews do a fantastic job for which we are all very grateful. Thank you!
