Being Technologists

Computing Intent for St Stephen’s Juniors

Through our Computing Curriculum at St Stephen’s Juniors we expect our learners to become responsible, respectful and confident digital citizens. Our learners are exposed to a wide variety of apps, programs, websites and devices which allows them to explore progressive concepts across the school in a wide variety of contexts. This breadth of experience will set our learners up to not only use the apps, programs, websites and devices which they have used in class but to be able to keep up with new technological advances which rely on the same principles. Through collaborative opportunities, our learners see the benefit of working together to share knowledge and to share tasks to make them more achievable and more productive. Where linked, Computing enhances our Enquiries and Sustainable Development Goals.

Our Computing Curriculum is constantly evolving and incorporates new technologies which is vital in ensuring what we teach is relevant to the lives of the learners.

Our Online Safety Curriculum ensures that learners not only know how they should conduct themselves online by being aware of the impact of their actions, but also how to keep themselves safe and healthy online too.
