Year 4 Termly Overview 1
Year 4 are kick starting the year with an incredible enquiry looking into the similarities and difference between humans and wolves. We will be using the books 'Wolves in the Walls' to help us introduce targets into our writing to make it engaging for our readers.
In order to answer our enquiry question of 'Are wolves and humans similar?', we will be exploring the digestive system, teeth and food chains.

Being an orator
In preparation for our oracy open classroom, we shared our work with 6ER. We used the sentence stems to share our work and tell our partner what we have been doing and why we are proud.
Being a scientist
For our ambition, we created a presentation to answer the question 'Are wolves and humans similar?' To do this, we used all of the knowledge we have learnt over the enquiry to decide whether or not humans and wolves are similar.
Being an athlete
In term 1, we are focusing on netball and gymnastics. In our netball lessons, we have been working on our different passes. We have been practicing chest pass, bounce pass and over head pass. We have also been working on our pivoting skills.
Year 4 Trip - Bristol Zoo Project
Year 4 had the pleasure of going to Bristol Zoo Project were we began our enquiry "Are humans and wolves similar?" We were able to explore the site and take part in a Wild About Wolves workshop. The children came away full of excitement and knowledge about wolves and other fascinating facts about animals living at the zoo.
