Being a Geographer

Because we are ‘learning to change the world’ at St. Stephens, we need to ensure that all of our pupils have a strong understanding of the world around them. By becoming geographers, children will be able to not only locate the places around the world in which we live, but they will be able to understand and recognise the differences in the human and physical features throughout the world. This will give children a better understanding of the different cultures around the world and be more appreciative of where the things we love come from.

Our aim is for every child to leave our school with an understanding of the world around them, using their geographical skills to be able to explore ways in which we can make a difference to change the world into a better place for our futures, and that of future generations.
