We access a range of outside agencies to enable us to provide the most appropriate support for the children at our school. Agencies that we use include:
School Nursing Team - The School Health Nurse can deal with health queries, such as weight concerns, bedwetting etc. Please ask the school if you would like a referral.
Educational Psychology Dept - For specific educational concerns.
Paediatric Dept - for children's health. Referrals can be made through your child's GP or through the school nurse.
Speech and Language Therapy - This service can support with language concerns, including social difficulties such as ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition).
Play Therapy - This specialist service may be appropriate if a child has behaviour/social difficulties.
Behaviour Support Team - To support the school and parents of children with behavioural problems.
Child and Adult Mental Health Service (CAMHS) - Referrals to CAMHS need to be made through your GP or through the School Health Nurse.
First Point - This is the first point of call with any concerns. All referrals go through First Point before being sent to the appropriate service.
Social Care- Accessed through First Point initially, Social Care is a service to support children and families who are experiencing difficulties.
If you think your child or your family may need any of the above services, please contact the Inclusion Leader, Mr Walters, at school in the first instance for advice and support in accessing individual services.
