Our first full week of term was a fun packed Science Week. The aim was to launch the new science curriculum, raise the profile of the subject and change some preconceptions about science.
The children took part in various experiments using everyday equipment that can easily be bought in the supermarket. We were lucky to have two scientists, Mr G and Tim Harrison, who came in and give us exciting assemblies that raised interest levels and allowed the children to go off and try their own experiments.
The children were engaged throughout and as the pictures show, their enthusiasm for science has been enhanced. Please try some of the experiments at home and let us know which ones worked well. (There are more pictures on class pages)
If you have any questions about the week, or about science, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Alan Walters the Science Subject Leader.
