Carnival and Samba Week July 2019
At the end of Term 6 we had a fantastic week preparing for our carnival and Samba performances. Years 3, 4 and 5 worked with the adults in school and both music and dance specialists to create costumes, floats, instruments, music and routines to share with our parents and carers. The theme for the carnival were The Elements and through their work, the children showed us in a sea of colour the elements of earth, fire and water.
Carnival 2019
Following their hard work this year, Year 6 spent a week putting together a Samba performance for their leavers performance. Working with Big Beat, the children chose to specialise in either dance, drumming or costume/ scenery making. After a week of very hard work, they put on the most amazing show entertaining us with drumming, dancing and singing to the Samba beat. Even the staff took part. What a brilliant send off they had!
