We had a whole school Anti-Bullying Week on 14th - 18th November. The aim of the week was to raise awareness of bullying and ways in which we could help to prevent it. We adopted the Anti-Bullying Alliance slogan, 'Power for Good' and we had the following aims:
Each Year group had different activities throughout the week including, drama, story mapping, poetry, advice posters and stop bullying posters. All children wrote an anti-bullying message an a blue hand to show their support in preventing bullying.
We aim to revisit anti-bullying at the start of Term 3 and then repeat the activities throughout the year to ensure our anti-bullying message remains high on the agenda.
Our Agreed Definition of 'bullying'
'Behaviour by an individual or group, usually repeated over time, that intentionally hurts another individual or group, either physically or emotionally'
